  • "Socket connection has been refused by remote host... The handshake failed due to an unexpected packet format" error when sending CRM (fka Luxor) emails


Solution

The issue you're encountering is due to a misconfiguration in the email settings. To correct this error, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your CRM platform.
  2. Access the Admin area (Note: If you don't have the necessary permissions to access this section, please contact your CRM administrator).
  3. Once in the Admin section, select the "Email Settings" option.
  4. In the Email Settings, find the "Secure Connection" option and set it to "No".


This adjustment should resolve the error you are experiencing.
