Blank Contacts in CRM

Issue

  • Why do I have contacts that are empty/blank in CRM (fka Luxor)?

Solution

Blank contacts (not to be confused with Contact Owner = "No Contact") typically are created when a CRM (fka Luxor) user uses the Email To Activity feature in CRM, but the email address is not associated with a CRM contact.



  1. You can confirm whether a blank contact was created through the Email to Activity feature by opening the contact and checking for an associated email activity.
  2. How to fix:
    • If the email address isn’t tied to any known contact, you can simply open the contact and fill in the required fields.
    • If the person already exists under a different email, you can merge the contacts to keep your records clean.
