Issue
- Error received when saving a Timesheet
- "Employee pay rates and accounting settings for the user location must be set up to save a timesheet" error when adding new timesheets for employee
Solution
This error is typically caused by one of two issues:
- The employee/user does not have their "Payroll Details" information filled out on their profile in DASH
- Navigate to Administration > Employee and locate the employee’s profile
- Scroll down to the bottom of their profile to the Payroll Details section
- Make sure they have Regular Time, Over Time, Double Time filled out
- Is the activity code being used as a custom activity code? If so, make sure that the employee has custom rates added to it.
- Check to see if it is a custom activity code by navigating to the activity code section under Timesheets > Activity Codes.
- Check to see if it’s a custom activity code. If so, navigate to Administration > Employee
- Locate the employee’s profile and go down to the “Update Custom Activity Code Pay Rates” button
- Find the custom activity code in the list and make sure the employee has all the info filled out.
