Question
- How can I create a target list in CRM (fka Luxor)?
Answer
Target Lists allow you to group and organize specific marketing targets for email blasts or campaigns.
Check out the manual attached at the bottom of this article for more information on Target Lists and other Marketing features of CRM (fka Luxor).
To create a target list follow the steps outlined below:
- Log into your CRM (fka Luxo) environment
- Click on the Marketing module on the left-hand navigation menu
- Click "Target Lists" from the actions menu on the left-hand side
- When building target lists you can either filter for specific contacts, or use general filters to select for certain groups and types of contacts. For example, you can design a target list to filter for all Adjusters in your system or filter for all contacts who work at a specific company. Designing target lists in this way frees you up from managing large lists (adding, removing, etc) since the list will change dynamically based on the selected criteria.
- Click Add New at the top of the Target Lists page
- Name the target list
- Next, select the field that you want to filter your criteria for. For example, if you wanted to create a list of only insurance adjusters you may want to choose "Contacts: Referral Type" and set it equal to "Adjuster"
- You can continue to add filters to build a highly specific and targeted list
- Keep in mind that each new filter you add is treated as an "AND" statement. For example, see the image below: if you have two different filter statements like the image below, CRM (fka Luxor / LuxorCRM) would apply both filters. The target list would only include contacts that have a referral type = adjuster AND contacts that have given you more than 0 referrals.
- However, if you add two statements that are the same (ex: Contacts: Referral Type) but set the filter to different options (ex: Adjuster, Plumber), then CRM (fka Luxor) would treat that as an "OR" statement. So both adjusters and plumbers would be included in the targeted list.
- Once you have added the criteria you desire to the list, click Save.
