Creating Email Templates

  • How can I create an email template for a marketing email in CRM (fka Luxor)?

 


Answer

Note: in order to access and use the Marketing Module in Luxor, you will first need to ensure that your Email Settings are configured - see this article for more information DNS / Email Client settings in CRM (fka Luxor)


Disclaimer: The Marketing module should not be used by someone who is not utilizing your company's domain inside of Admin > User Management.

To create an Email Template follow the steps outlined below (see the manual attached to this article for more information):

  1. Log into your CRM (fka Luxor / LuxorCRM) environment
  2. Click on the Marketing module on the left-hand navigation menu
  3. Click "Email Template" from the actions menu on the left-hand side
  4. Click Add 
  5. Enter a Template Name (this name will be private and only visible in the CRM (fka Luxor / LuxorCRM) system)
  6. Enter a Subject - this will appear to the recipient as the email subject line
  7. Next, choose whether you want the email template to be Public or Private. Public email templates can be accessed by anyone in the CRM (fka Luxor / LuxorCRM) system vs Private email templates can only be accessed by the creator of the template
  8. To build the email template, you'll need to drag and drop various email components from the menus on the right over to the body of the email on the left

  9. Once you have added a content component (ex: image) you can click into it to further edit it or customize it.
  10. You can also add merge fields to the text in your email which will automatically pull in dynamic data that is captured in CRM (fka Luxor / LuxorCRM) (ex: name, address, etc)

  11. You can add videos, text, buttons, and other various media to the body of your email. You can also customize what the content will look like on Desktop vs Mobile.
