Question
- How to I export my data to the cloud?
- How do I save my changes for my loss in Mitigate?
- My updates are not showing in MICA web
- How do I pull down updates from MICA web?
Overview
Important Note
Please be aware that multiple technicians should not work on the same loss in Mitigate simultaneously until we implement bidirectional background syncing. This means that currently, data entered on the web is not automatically synced to the mobile app; it only updates from mobile to web. Once bidirectional syncing is in place, data updates will flow automatically in both directions, eliminating the need for manual updates and reducing the risk of conflicting changes.
Syncing data from MICA web > Mitigate and exporting data from Mitigate > MICA web work in slightly different ways:
- Syncing from MICA web: utilizes a Manual Sync process to pull down data to the device before starting the job.
- Exporting to MICA web: utilizes a background sync process as well as a manual export button to send data from the device to MICA web.
Syncing from MICA Web to Mitigate
Syncing in Mitigate ensures that your project data on Mitigate Mobile matches the latest information from the MICA web platform. When you use the manual sync option, it downloads the most recent data from MICA and updates your device without overwriting your local changes.
How to use
To ensure you have the most current information before starting your workday, it's always best practice to perform a manual sync. This will download any recent updates from the MICA web platform to your device, ensuring that you’re working with the latest data available.
- Open the Mitigate mobile app on your device
- Go to the Losses section in the Mitigate application
- Locate the loss you want to sync from MICA web
- Swipe the job to the left and click Sync (see image below)
Exporting from Mitigate to MICA Web
Mitigate utilizes new background syncing functionality to seamlessly synchronize your data to MICA web. Once you save your data, it automatically initiates background syncing in a queue and will push the data once you are within strong WiFi or Cellular connections.
How to use
There are two methods for exporting your data from your device to the MICA cloud:
Automatic Background Syncing: Once you save your data in Mitigate, it automatically starts syncing in the background when you have a strong WiFi or cellular connection. This ensures that your data is uploaded to MICA Web without manual intervention.
End-of-Day Export: For added safety, manually export your data at the end of your workday. This action ensures all your job data, including notes and photos, is transferred to the MICA cloud and is accessible on MICA Web for your coworkers.
