The ability to merge contacts (or organizations) is only available if the user has the deduplication security group added to their profile under the Admin Settings > User Management.
To merge a contact or organization into another, follow these steps:
- Select Items to Merge: Click the checkbox next to all the contacts (or companies) you intend to merge. This includes both the record you want to keep and the records you want to discard.
- Initiate Merge: Click the Merge button, which is located in the left-hand navigation menu.

- From there, select the button next to the contact you want to KEEP.
- Designate the Keeper: On the merge screen, select the radio button (or similar control) next to the specific contact or organization you wish to KEEP (the master record).
- Execute Merge: Click the Merge to Selected button.
