Adding moisture locations / points

Question

  • How can I add a new moisture point to a room?
  • How can I add a new location for moisture readings?

Answer

Note

Before you can add moisture points you must add a trip

Check out our video guide for simple steps on adding moisture readings to Mitigate! This video walks you through adding moisture readings and locations for a brand new loss or for existing losses.

You can add a new location (point) to track moisture readings by doing the following:

  1. NOTE: before adding Moisture Points (readings) you must add a Trip
  2. In the Snapshot view/tab, scroll down to the Moisture Content card
  3. Tap the More icon on the Moisture Content card
  4. Locate the Room that you want to add a new location/moisture point to by clicking on the Drying Chamber dropdown at the top of the Moisture Readings overview page.
  5. Once you are inside of a Room, you can add a new location to track moisture readings (eg Dry Wall, Floor/Carpet, Floor Plywood, etc) by clicking the Add Location button at the bottom.
  6. NOTE: you can also duplicate an existing location (ie floor, drywall, etc) so that you do not have to reenter all the details for a spot that is only a few feet from an existing location. To do this, A) navigate to the existing location under Moisture Readings > select the specific room, B) click the 3 ellipses/dots next to the location name and C) click Duplicate
