What is a Drying Envelope in MICA?

Question

  • What does a Dying Envelope?
  • Where can I find the Drying Envelope section?

Answer

Disclaimer

If you find that the Drying Environment tab is missing, you can re-download the master data to add it back. However, it's important to note that some franchises/locations do not have access to the Drying Environment tab. See this article for more information - Tabs, equipment, sketch, materials readings options missing

The Drying Envelope can be found under the drying environment tab in MICA Mobility (iPad, iPhone, Windows, Android).

The Drying Envelope is a metric which measures how tightly the room or space is sealed up. For example: if you have each area sealed off with plastic walls and no one is coming in or out aside from you then the space would be considered a tight drying envelope. On the other hand, if you have an open floor plan in someone’s living room/kitchen/dining room/hallway and there's a door outside or the space has a lot of foot traffic to other spaces, then that would be considered a loose drying envelope.
