Read-only access in CRM (fka Luxor)

Issue

  • Unable to merge/add/remove/edit contacts in CRM (fka Luxor)
  • Unable to merge/add/remove/edit companies in CRM
  • Unable to add/remove/edit jobs in CRM (fka Luxor)
  • I only have the options for "Excel Export" and "Print" within the contact, job, and organization modules 
  • I am unable to edit anything in CRM (fka Luxor)

 


Solution

If you notice that you are unable to make any edits to data in CRM (fka Luxor) or that you are unable to see any other buttons under the modules (see image below), it is because your profile is set to read-only. 



To remove the read-only restriction you will need to do the following (these steps will require Admin security access):

  1. Log into CRM (fka Luxor) and click on Admin in the upper right-hand corner
  2. Click on User Management
  3. Locate the user who has a read only profile and click on their name
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of their profile to the Licenses section
  5. Remove the "Luxor ReadOnly Web Client" from the user's licenses
  6. Scroll up to the top of their profile and click Save
  7. Have the user log out and log back into CRM (fka Luxor)
