Unable to see activity codes when creating timesheets

Issue

  • When creating timesheets, I cannot see all the activity codes in the dropdown
  • Why am I unable to see all the activity codes when creating timesheets?

Solution

This occurs because the activity code has the “Is Approver” setting set to “Yes” (can check this from the Timesheets > Activity Codes page) and the user who is trying to create the timesheet does not have the “Is Final Approver” OR “Is Primary Approver” security rights.

To fix this, you will need to have the “Is Final Approver” OR “Is Primary Approver” added to your Securities. Final Approver can approve all timesheets and Primary Approver can only approve timesheets if they are a participant on a job (and al.

  1. These can be edited by hovering over Administration in the blue navigation ribbon and click "Employee / Security Settings"
  2. From there, select Security
  3. Choose the employee from the dropdown on the top right and then expand Timesheets > Timesheets > View Employee Timesheets.
  4. If you do not need to have Final Approval rights (the ability to approve all timesheets), we suggest the “Is Primary Approver" security instead.
  5. Primary Approvers are set on a division-by-division level on the Timesheets > Approver Settings page. Furthermore, you must be a participant on the job AND have the job title listed in the “Approver Settings” section for that SPECIFIC Job Division.
