Merging jobs in DASH

Overview

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to merge:

  1. Local job into local job / provider claim into provider claim.
    OR
  2. Local jobs into Admin/Provider Claim



Securities

There are few securities required in order to utilize the Merge Job feature. To allocate access, follow the steps below:

  1. Hover over Administration in the blue navigation ribbon at the top of your DASH environment
  2. Click on Employee / Security Settings
  3. Select Security (or Group Security if you control your permissions via job title)
  4. Expand Other > expand Merge Jobs
  5. Under Merge Jobs you may see up to 5 security options:
    • Local Job into another Local Job
    • Local Job into a provider created claim (provider claim takes precedence)
    • Local Job into a admin dispatched claim (Admin takes precedence)
    • Provider created claim into an admin dispatched claim (admin takes precedence)
    • Provider created claim into another provider created claim



Merging Local Jobs or Provider Claims

NOTE: if this is your first time merging jobs, we suggest reading all steps in full before proceeding.

  1. Navigate to your DASH Enterprise account
  2. Important note: The job you select the Merge Job button from is the job that will receive the merged data.
  3. Find the local job that you want to RECEIVE the merged data.
  4. In the job slideboard of the claim you want to receive the data: Click Merge Job

  5. The merge screen will display suggested jobs that match on Loss Location, Loss Date, Loss Type. If the job you need is not shown, you also have an option to search for the job by job number.

  6. Locate the job(s) you want to merge into this one and click Next.
  7. The next popup screen will allow you to choose what job information to merge and how. Here are the various ways you can choose data to merge: 
    1. If you want to merge all available fields from the job you selected in the previous step, you can select the 'All' checkbox at top.
    2. You can individually select the fields you want to merge over by selecting the 'active' checkboxes next to the field in the option on the left of the pop up.
    3. If you want all the data in a section, you can select the merge icon to populate all available for that section into the destination loss.

  8. Verify the data you want to merge is correct before selecting Merge.
  9. You can now verify the job you are on has all the data you wanted merged over from the other job.



Merging Local Jobs into Admin/Provider Claims

NOTE: these steps only apply to DASH users who are a part of a franchise and utilize Admin/Provider dispatched Claims. These steps demonstrate how to merge a locally created Job into an Admin dispatched Claim.

  1. Navigate to your DASH Enterprise account
  2. NOTE: The Admin Claim will always take precedence if being used for merge jobs. Whether you are merging from the Admin Claim or merging from the Locally created Job.
  3. Find the local job OR the admin dispatched job in DASH Enterprise.
  4. In the job slideboard of the admin claim or local job: Click "Merge Job"

  5. The merge screen will display suggested jobs that match on Loss Location, Loss Date, Loss Type. If the job you need is not shown, you also have an option to search for the job by job number.

  6. Select the job(s) you want to merge and click Next.
  7. The next popup screen will allow you to choose what job information to merge and how. Here are the various ways you can choose data to merge: 
    1. At the top of the pop up there is an 'All' checkbox. This merges all available fields in the local job to merge into the admin claim.
    2. You can individually click the data fields you want to merge to the admin claim.
    3. Or you can click the merge icon in the middle to merge all available data from the local job to the admin claim.

  8. Verify the data you want to merge is correct before selecting Merge.
  9. You can now verify the admin claim has all the claim information you selected from the local job.
  10. NOTE: You will need to manually close the local job once you are ready to.
