Pausing a Compliance Task

Question

  • How can I pause a compliance task on a job?
  • How can I view paused compliance tasks?

Answer

Disclaimer

Please note that pausing a compliance task does not pause the task timer. It will however, remove it from your compliance task/grid until the date you specify. This can be helpful, for example, when you have multiple long-term tasks and want to pause them (remove from grid until later) to focus on the short-term ones.

There are some scenarios when you need to put a compliance task on hold. You can utilize the compliance pause feature in order to complete any prerequisite work before continuing with your workflow. If you elect to Pause a Compliance Task, it will be removed from the compliance task grid until the date/time specified. Once that date/time arrives, the task will return to the Compliance Manager view.

Viewing paused tasks

In the top right corner of the Compliance Manager grid (in the job compliance manager tab or under More > Compliance Manager), there will be a toggle controlling the ability to show or hide tasks that are currently paused.

You can pause a compliance task either from the job level or you can pause compliance tasks en mass from the system-wide Compliance Manager.

Pausing compliance tasks from the job level

  1. Navigate to the job in DASH
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the job slideboard and click on the "Compliance Tasks" tab
  3. Select the tasks that you wish to put on pause
  4. Click "Pause"
  5. Choose a reason for pausing the task
  6. Choose the date for when you want the task to "unpause". This will be the date you want the task to become active again
  7. Add in any additional notes and click Pause

Pausing compliance tasks in bulk

  1. Navigate to the Compliance Manager. You can do this by hovering over More in the blue navigation ribbon in DASH. Then select "Compliance Manager".
  2. You can use the filters on this page to narrow down your results to a specific job or task.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the tasks you want to pause
  4. Click "Pause"
  5. Choose a reason for pausing the task
  6. Choose the date for when you want the task to "unpause". This will be the date you want the task to become active again
  7. Add in any additional notes and click Pause
