Adding new users in CRM

Answer

There are two methods for adding new users to CRM, depending on whether your CRM environment is integrated with a Restoration DASH™ (DASH) environment.

Determining if Your Environment is Integrated with DASH

  1. In CRM, click the dropdown icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Select Admin Settings.
  3. Click User Management.
  4. On the User Management page, select any user from the left-hand menu.
  5. If you see buttons labeled "Add User at Same Level" or "Add User Below Selected," your CRM environment is not synced with DASH. Proceed to the section Adding users in CRM without DASH sync.
  6. If those buttons are not visible, your CRM environment is synced with DASH. Proceed to the section Adding users in CRM with DASH sync.




Adding users in CRM without DASH sync

To add a new user when CRM is not synced with DASH:

  1. In CRM, click the dropdown icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Select Admin Settings.
  3. Click User Management.
  4. Once you are on the User Management page, click on any user from the left-hand menu.
  5. Click either the "Add User at Same Level" button or the "Add User Below Selected" button.
  6. Complete the new user's contact information, including Name, Email address, Username, and Password.
  7. Provide the password to the new user for login (new users do not receive a registration email).
  8. Assign the necessary Permissions and Security Groups.
  9. Crucially, add the "User License" (the user cannot log in without this). If needed, add the "Luxor Support Module" license for access to the Opportunities module.




Adding users in CRM with DASH sync

If your CRM environment is synced with DASH, you must create the user in DASH first. See this page for more information on how to create a new user in DASH

  1. Create the user profile in DASH. Refer to this page for instructions on creating a new user in DASH.
  2. Once the profile is set up in DASH, configure their profile in CRM.
  3. In CRM, click the dropdown icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  4. Select Admin Settings.
  5. Click User Management.
  6. Locate the user's job title associated with their DASH profile from the list on the left side.
  7. Click on the user's name.
  8. Ensure all required fields and options are correct, including Name, Email address, Username, Password, Permissions, and Security Groups.
  9. Make sure to add the "User License" (the user cannot log in without this). If needed, add the "Luxor Support Module" license for access to the Opportunities module.
