Work Orders are not generating after converting an Estimate

Issue

  • After converting Estimate into Work Orders there are no Work Orders listed.
  • Work Orders are not appearing after converting an Estimate.

 


Solution(s)

There are a few potential solutions for this issue:

  1. Ensure Proper Estimate Upload/Import:
    • Confirm that the estimate was either Uploaded or Imported using the "Upload Estimate" or "Import Estimate" buttons on the Job Slideboard. 
    • If the "Add Estimate" feature was used, it won't convert into Work Orders. Instead, use the Upload or Import options.
  2. Verify Line Items in Estimate:
    • If the estimate was correctly uploaded or imported, check for line items. 
    • Go to the Job Slideboard, click on "Acct Details," then select "Estimate." 
    • On the Estimate page, scroll right and click "View/Add Line Items" to see if there are any line items. 
    • If none are listed, it indicates the absence of line items in the estimate. In this case, re-upload or re-import the estimate from your estimating software. 
    • When exporting a PDF report from Xactimate, ensure the "Exclude Line Item Numbers" box is unchecked in the print options.
  3. Browser Switch for Re-converting Estimate:
    • If line items are present but Work Orders are still not visible, try using a different browser to re-convert the Estimate to Work Orders.
    • Firefox or Chrome are recommended for this process.
