Importing revised Claims Estimate estimates

Question

  • How to import a revision for Claims Workspace estimates?
  • When importing a Claims Workspace (fka Claims Connect) estimate, it overwrites original estimate and replaces the estimate with only the changes
  • How to get revisions from Claims Estimate (fka Mobile Claims) into DASH

Answer

Claims Estimate (fka Mobile Claims) revised estimates need to be imported in a slightly different way than those that come from other estimate software.

If you try to import your revised estimate as a revision to the original estimate using the Revision option, it will overwrite your entire estimate with only the items that Claims Workspace (fka Claims Connect) detects have changed between the original and the revision.

Instead, you should:

  1. Navigate to the job in DASH
  2. Import the Workspace (fka Claims Connect) revision as another Original Supplemental estimate. See image below.
  3. This will import the added or removed line items without overwriting the Main Estimate and will increase or lower the total estimated cost to match the final revised amount.

If accidentally overwrite your main estimate, re-sync it from Claims Estimate:

  1. Locate the assignment within the Claims Estimate desktop app.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (pictured below) next to the desired claim in the list
  3. Select one of the following (will depend on whether the claim is available offline already):
    • Make Available Offline
      • Once the claim is available offline, return to the same three-dot menu and select Upload Claim.
    • Upload Claim
  4. After uploading, return to the same three-dot menu and click Release Ownership.
