Syncing photos, notes, dates, and documents between DASH and Mitigate

Overview

You can sync photos, notes, dates and documents between Mitigate (fka MICA) and DASH to eliminate duplicate entry.

See each section below for more information on the sync

Photos

Photos taken in Mitigate (fka MICA) will automatically transfer to DASH once the photos are exported to Mitigate (fka MICA) Cloud.

In DASH, you will see the same Photo Album set up as you see in Mitigate (fka MICA) with the Photos separated by area. All albums and photos transferred to DASH from Mitigate (fka MICA) will be private.

You can change the album from Private to Public by clicking on Manage Photos and Albums and then clicking on Update Album and Check the Is Public Checkbox.

Photos brought over from Mitigate (fka MICA) into DASH will also bring over the photos file name and description.

Any changes to Photos brought from Mitigate (fka MICA) will need to be made in Mitigate (fka MICA). If you need to delete a photo or change a photo description, you can do this in Mitigate (fka MICA) and those changes will then be reflected in DASH.

Notes

All notes and public notes entered into DASH will sync over into the job in Mitigate (fka MICA).

However, if the note is marked as private, it will not sync from DASH nto Mitigate (fka MICA). You will see a yellow M next to a public note and once it turns green, it will be available in the job in Mitigate (fka MICA).

Dates

Dates will sync from DASH into Mitigate only.

It will push over the date entered on the job in DASH, so it can either push over the current date and time or if you enter a date in the future or past, it will send that information over.

You will see a yellow M Mitigate (fka MICA) icon) next to the date once the sync has started and will turn green once the date is in Mitigate).

The dates that will push over from DASH to Mitigate are:

  • Date of Loss
  • Date Inspected
  • Start Date
  • Date of Majority of Completion

This is a one way and one time sync from DASH to Mitigate (fka MICA). If a date is changed in DASH after the initial sync has run, it will not send over the new updated date and if a date is changed in Mitigate, it will not update the loss in DASH.

Documents

Documents that are signed and uploaded in Mitigate (fka MICA) can be brought into a job in DASH. To bring a document into a job from DASH, you will first upload or get a document signed in Mitigate (fka MICA).

Then, from the Documents tab in DASH you will click on the applicable document type that you would like to update the Mitigate (fka MICA) document into. Once you click on it, you will see a new tab that is called Mitigate (fka MICA) Upload. You will then select the document category that you uploaded the document to in Mitigate, select the document, and press upload document. Then, the document that you have in Mitigate will also be available in DASH.

The ability to select these documents from Mitigate (fka MICA) is not just limited to documents that are signed, but you will also be able to select any Details Reports or Photos Sheets that you have created to upload to a Document type in DASH.

This is also a one-time upload. If there is a revision made to a signed document in Mitigate, you will need to select the document again to have the new document uploaded.
