Overview
Disclaimer
If you want to edit dropdowns for some of the pre-built CRM (fka Luxor) menus (ex: loss type, loss category, referred by, referral type, internal participants, etc) you'll want to check out our Lookup Tables Management article instead
The Modules Management Section edits the main sections or modules of the CRM home screen. These options largely determine which fields appear in each section, how it's laid out, and what they are named.
Each of the Management sections is highly similar with similar sub-menus.
To get to Modules Management, you must have Admin access in your CRM environment. Modules Management can be accessed by navigating to Admin > Modules Management.
Editing Fields, Views, Settings
Each of the Management sections (Company/Organization Management, Contact Management, Job Management, etc) has a sub-menu that consists of:
- Fields (& Tabs)
- Related Views
- Settings
Fields
Fields (& Tabs) - this is where you can add new tabs, edit field names, hide fields, mark fields required, and choose the method for entering data in the selected field (e.g. text field, list, date, phone number, checkbox, etc).
- New Tab: You can add a new Tab by using the Add Tab button in the top, left-hand corner of the page (see img below).
- New tabs added here will be reflected in the corresponding module in CRM (e.g. Contacts, Organizations, Jobs, etc) so that when you are viewing a contact, for example, you will see a tab at the top of the contact's window.
- Fields on this page are grouped up by the corresponding tab that they will display under (see the image below).
- New Field: You can add a new field by clicking Add Field in the top right-hand corner.
- NOTE: Fields can be moved up and down to change the order of how they will appear, but cannot be moved from one tab to another.
- When adding a new Field you can change some of the settings like making it required, making it Read Only, selecting which tab is will show under, etc.
- Rows & Columns corresponds to where in the Tab you want the field to display
Related Views
Related Views - allow you to modify which fields appear once you've selected one of the options at the bottom of the page, such as Appointment, To-Do, and Activities.
For example: if you wanted to have certain fields show when adding an appointment, you would click on "Appointment Related Fields" and move them over from Available Fields > View Fields
Settings
The settings section for modules management allows you to:
- Edit a module name - for example, you could rename the Companies module from "Companies" to "Organizations"
- You can deactivate/reactivate a module (we do not recommend doing this without first consulting with our Luxor experts - activating or deactivating some modules could negatively impact your CRM (fka Luxor) experience)
