Creating a Dashboard

Overview

Dashboards provide a visual report on various data in your CRM (fka Luxor) system. Dashboards and Dashlets cannot be shared with other users in your CRM environment and must be built by any new users added to your system after its initial creation.
 

This article will focus on how to build Dashboards and some ideas for Dashboards we suggest.

Creating a Dashboard

Dashboards are made up of Dashlets. Without Dashlets, Dashboards are empty.

Each Dashboard is user-specific and is created in the user's Settings page. Therefore, each user must set up their own Dashboard. When your CRM (fka Luxor) system was first created, all users who were in the system had their Dashboard pre-loaded. Any new employees added after the initial onboarding must create their Dashboards individually.

You can have multiple Dashboards with different combinations of Dashlets inside of them.

  1. To set up a Dashboard navigate to Settings > Dashboard.



  2. Click "Add New"



  3. Name your Dashboard (see the Your first Dashboards section below for our advised Dashboard setup)
  4. Select "Stacked" from the dropdown and name your Dashboard. Then hit "Save"
    • NOTE: always choose "Stacked".
  5. Once you are done, you should see your new Dashboard in the list.
  6. From here, click into your new Dashboard and add Dashlets. Without Dashlets a Dashboard is empty.



  7. To add new Dashlets, click the "Add New" button on top of the page within CRM (fka Luxor).
  8. Select your Dashlet Type, give it a name, and hit Save. The repeat to add multiple Dashlets to your Dashboard.
  9. Most Dashlets have additional Settings specific to them. These settings are found while in the Dashboard itself (accessible on the left-side navigation menu in the Home screen).




Your First Dashboards

NOTE: you can mix and match any of these Dashlets within a particular Dashboard to suit your needs.

  1. You will first need to create the Dashboard(s). Before you can add Dashlets, you will need a Dashboard to add them to, see the section above on how to do so.
  2. Then you will need to add the Dashlets to your Dashboard.
  3. The selection of Dashboards and Dashlets below are grouped for usage with the Strategic Sales Through Classification standard.
  4. We have grouped certain Dashlets into Dashboards that provide the best reporting experience.
  5. We have also suggested certain time filters and settings for each Dashlet, but those can be adjusted at any time under your Dashlet settings. You will want to consult with your Sales/Marketing team, however, to verify that you are using the same settings that they are.
