Adding drying chambers in Mitigate

Question

  • How to add new drying chambers in Mitigate?
  • Adding new chambers in the Mitigate mobile app

Adding Chambers

In Mitigate, you can add chambers using either of these methods:

  1. During the "Create New Loss" workflow you will be prompted after entering in the Details of the Loss
  2. Add them to the job after it's been created under one of these sections
    • Snapshot > scroll down to Project Layout > Edit > click the blue plus icon in the bottom right select the relevant drying chamber then the corresponding room.

      OR

    • Layout > Drying Chamber > Edit

Structure Details

After adding a chamber, a new screen appears that lets you add information to the chamber, such as:

  1. Editing the Chamber name
  2. Defining the Class and Cat for the Drying Chamber
    • NOTE: Category is defined at the room level for each room added to the chamber. Once the Category has been defined for each room of the chamber, Mitigate automatically populates the appropriate Category for the chamber as a whole.
    • NOTE: Class can be edited at the chamber level only. You may notice when editing a room’s damage information, the Class is automatically calculated for that room and cannot be edited. If you wish to change the auto calculated Class at the chamber level, you can. If you set the Class manually, then edit the damage information for a room, you will be prompted if the Class does not match your damage information.
  3. Adding a new Room
  4. NOTE: click the 3 dots to remove the chamber
  5. NOTE: click on "Detailed" to add things like Build-out Density, Building Construction, Prevailing Weather Conditions and Tightness of Building Environment
  6. After adding the chamber information tap the ‘Done’ button at the top of the screen.

Adding Chambers (cont'd)

If you need to add more chambers, use the + plus button again at the bottom of the screen to repeat the steps above.

NOTE: If you have added multiple chambers, you can click the chamber name at the top of the screen and to switch between the chambers that have been added.
