"This estimate is not in the proper format to be uploaded to the job..." error received after uploading a Rough Draft or Dash Data estimate in DASH
Error when uploading estimate into DASH

There are two main causes for this error:

Wrong format or wrong estimate type selection: The PDF you are attempting to upload is not a Rough Draft format OR you've uploaded a Rough Draft but selected "Normal XML PDF". Ensure that when you are exporting/downloading your report within Xactimate, it is in a Rough Draft format and that you've selected it's corresponding "Rough Draft PDF" as the Estimate PDF Type when uploading (see image below).
Empty estimate: is the estimate file empty or lacking any line items? If you are attempting to upload a Dash Data or Rough Draft PDF of a $0 estimate, it may give you this error.
