Issue
- Unable to send an estimate file from Xactimate to a job in DASH
- Cannot import an estimate from X1 in DASH
- Unable to export an estimate from Xactware to DASH
- Able to export my estimate from Xactimate, but do not see it available to import in DASH
Solutions
There are a few reasons that you may be unable to send your estimate from Xactimate to your job in DASH:
- Within Xactimate, open the project and confirm if you are able to see the "Tools" option (some environments say "3rd Party Tools) option on the left-hand navigation menu (in X1 or Xactimate Online)
- If you do not see the Tools dropdown, it could indicate that the program/profile the project is in does not provide access to the Tools section. You will want to duplicate the project under a Carrier or Contractor profile.
- If you are able to see the Tools option in the left-hand menu, try checking a few of these things as well:
- Is your estimate in an "In Progress" status? Try setting it to In Progress and attempt to export again using Vendor Exchange
- Is the "Vendor Exchange" option not appearing under the Tools dropdown within any project (in Xactimate)? This could indicate that your Xactimate environment is not enabled to use Vendor Exchange - You will need to contact Xactimate support and send the following message to them:
This needs to be escalated for approval.
This is (name) with (company). We need Vendor Exchange to be enabled on Xactware's end. We have completed the setup within "Preferences" but Vendor Exchange is not displaying for use.

XactNet Address: - Check for any Import Messages errors or signs that the estimate did not successfully send via Vendor Exchange. You can see these from the Vendor Exchange request page under Tools > Vendor Exchange within the project
- Are you able to export, but you do not see the estimate from the list in DASH? Check both the "Suggested" and "Other" tabs from the import estimate screen
