Issue
- Attempting to import a new job into QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) via DASH Account 3 (DA3) application but when you check QuickBooks, the job is not there
- Job is not syncing into QuickBooks Desktop
Solution
QuickBooks Desktop will not create a new customer (therefore will not let DA3 import) if the customer's name falls under any of the following criteria:
- The Customer name is the same as an active or inactive vendor in QBD (Vendor Center)
- Check under "Vendors" > "Vendor Center" and make sure you set the filter for "All Vendors" so that you can search for active and inactive Vendors.
- If the customer's name matches a vendor's name, you can simply edit the vendor's name in QBD or the customer's name in DASH to make them unique from each other.
- The Customer name is the same as an active or inactive employee name in QBD (Employee Center)
- Check under "Employees" > "Employee Center" and make sure you set the filter for "All Employees" so that you can search for active and inactive Employees.
- If the customer's name matches an employee's name, you can simply edit the employee's name in QBD or the customer's name in DASH to make them unique from each other.
- The Customer name is the same as a name in the Other List in QBD (Lists > Other Lists)
- Check under "Lists" > "Other Lists" to see if there is a name matching your customer's name.
- Check under "Lists" > "Other Lists" to see if there is a name matching your customer's name.
- The Customer name already exists as an inactive Customer (Customer Center)
- Check under "Customers" > "Customer Center" and make sure you set the filter for "All Customers" so that you can search for active and inactive Customers.
- If the customer's name matches an inactive customer's name, you can simply edit the older customer's name in QBD or the customer's name in DASH to make them unique from each other.
