Issue
- Pop up error received when attempting to use DASH Account 3 (Importing or Exporting jobs)
- Error when using DA3 "A Quickbooks company data file is already open and it is different from the one requested"
Solution
This error indicates that the QuickBooks Desktop file you have open on your machine is different from the one that DASH Account 3 is integrated with.
There are a few steps to take to resolve this issue. Follow the steps below to resolve:
- Multiple QuickBooks Desktop processes may be running in the background of your machine. Open your Task Manager by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE on your machine. Click on the Details tab of task manager and close all instances of QB.exe then try to use DASH Account 3 again.
- If you still receive an error after step #1, re-integrate DASH Account 3 with QuickBooks Desktop using this article - Re-integrating QuickBooks Desktop and DASH Account 3
