  • This application does not have permission to access this QB company data file.. this pop-up error occurs when trying to sync QuickBooks Desktop and Dash Account 3



Solution


This error indicates that DASH Account 3 does not have the necessary permissions (within QuickBooks Desktop) to access and sync data into Restoration Workspace (fka DASH).  


Follow the instructions listed on this page to reintegrate your DASH Account 3 application with QuickBooks Desktop - Re-integrating QuickBooks Desktop and DASH Account 3


If you still receive this error after following the re-integration article linked above, make sure that all instances of QuickBooks desktop are closed via your PC's task manager:


You can access your computer's task manager by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE on your computer.

Check the details tab of task manager and close all instances of QB.exe then try to use DASH Account 3 again.
