Question
- How can I merge two losses in Mitigate / MICA?
- How can I merge multiple claims in Mitigate / MICA?
Answer
Note
If you're experiencing frequent duplicate assignments in Mitigate (formerly known as MICA), one possible reason could be your XactAnalysis exports set to automatic instead of manual. To adjust this, log into XA and go to Administration in the top right. If you have access, click on Company Setup > Exports. Once there, next to MICA, click Manual, then Save. That will still send Water Mitigation assignments, but not others that don't require Mitigate (fka MICA). If you don't have access to make those updates, you will want to reach out to your administrator for assistance.

To merge claims in MICA web, follow these steps:
- Go to Loss Search located at the top left of the website.
- Search for the losses you intend to merge.
- Ensure that only one of the two losses contains mitigation information such as sketches, pictures, and readings.
- Click on "merge" beside the loss you wish to remove. Then, in the pop-up window, search for and select the loss you want to merge into. For example, if you prefer to retain claim A, merge claim B into claim A.
- When merging, prioritize as follows:
- CoreLogic icon and DASH icon
- XA icon and DASH icon
- CoreLogic icon only
- XA icon only
- DASH icon only
- No icon
