"This user is not permitted to log in. Please contact your administrator" error when signing in

Issue

  • Unable to log into Luxor and receive this error message: This user is not permitted to log in. Please contact your administrator.
  • Missing a Restoration CRM (fka Luxor) license

 


Solution

This message is caused by the user's profile missing a required Web Client license. 


The steps below can only be completed by a Luxor user who has access to the Admin > User Management section of the system:

  1. Navigate to Admin > User Management
  2. Locate and click on the user's name to access their profile
  3. Scroll to the bottom of their profile to the "Licenses" section
  4. Move the "Luxor Web Client" license from the "Available licenses" column over to the "User licenses" column on the right
  5. NOTE: if you do not have any more available licenses, please see these articles - Requesting new CRM login licenses
