Sharing Views

Question

  • How can I share a view with everyone in CRM (fka Luxor)?
  • How can I share a view with select people in CRM (fka Luxor)?
  • How can I remove people from a shared view?

Answer

Tip

You can see who owns a View by going to Settings > My Views. From there, you can hover over any View name and a tooltip will pop up and show you who owns the shared view.

CRM (fka Luxor) allows you to share your custom-created views with others in the system. You can share views with just a few people or with everyone.

Sharing views with all

To share a particular view with everyone, follow the steps below:

  1. Log into your CRM (fka Luxor) environment
  2. Click on "Settings" in the upper right-hand corner of your CRM screen
  3. Click on My Views, then choose the module that the view is under (jobs, contacts, organizations, etc).
  4. Locate the view in the list and check the box under the "Share with All" column
    • NOTE: system views cannot be shared. You'll notice some views have a greyed-out check box under the "Share with all" column.
  5. Click Save

Selecting people to share views with

To share a particular view with a select number of people, follow the steps below:

  1. Log into your CRM (fka Luxor) environment
  2. Click on "Settings" in the upper right-hand corner of your CRM screen
  3. Click on My Views, then choose the module that the view is under (jobs, contacts, organizations, etc).
  4. Locate the name of the view in the list and click the select (SEL) button to the left of its name, then click "Share"

  5. A window will pop up where you can add or remove people from a View's shared list.
  6. Choose which employees/users you would like to share the view by clicking the checkbox next to their name with from the Employee Search popup window. You can choose multiple at once. Then click "Add Selected"

  7. After clicking "Add Selected" you will see the popup window refresh and you should see their name(s) listed under the "Selected Employees" section.
  8. Have that user log out and log back into their Luxor environment and they should see that view available in their list of views within the associated module (Contacts, Organizations, etc).
