Job synced to QBO under the wrong customer name

Issue

  • A job in DASH synced into QuickBooks Online under the wrong customer name
  • How can I move a job/sub-customer in QBO from one customer to another

 


Solution

Sometimes names and job information are updated after a job has been synced to QuickBooks Online from DASH. If you find that a job is under the wrong name in QuickBooks Online, follow the steps below to update the information:

  1. Ensure that the customer name and the Bill To contact name are correct in DASH 
  2. Once those are updated, edit the job (aka sub-customer in QBO) and move it to the correct customer in QBO (assuming the correct customer name already exists in QBO)
  3. To do this, click Edit on the job (aka sub-customer) in QBO and then choose the correct customer from the drop-down list
