Answer
Grouping data in BI is done through Separators. You can easily add any field as a separator by dragging it into the Separators section while in Configuration Mode.
- Navigate to your report in BI
- Click Edit > Design
- Locate the field you want to group your data by in the left hand data source column
- Drag the field to the Separators section
Important notes:
- If you add many Separators/Groupings (>2) then you may have undesired results in viewing your report.
- Separators typically follow the order you have them within your report configuration
- You can also change the separator style to make it more clear the order of the groupings (ex: separator titles can be separated by commas, lines with labels, multi-level, etc)
