This article covers how to rename a column / field in BI, but if you want to replace values with alternative text (ex: have null values display as 0, you will want to check out this article.
If you want to rename a data field or column in BI you can do that with the Field Name Alias. For example: you may want to rename your "Total Estimates" column/field to say Contract Amount:
- Click on the column/field that you want to rename while you are in configuration mode
- Click on the Field Properties tab on the right-hand properties menu
- Locate the "Field Name Alias" field and enter in your alternative field name
