• How can I preview a report I'm building in BI?
• How can I switch back and forth between previewing and configuring a report in BI?
• How can I get back to Configuration Mode in BI?

Answer

There are two ways you can switch back and forth between Preview Mode and Configuration Mode while building a report in BI:

1. Right-clicking
   1. To switch from Configuration Mode > Preview Mode: hover over the Configuration bar at the top of your report until it turns blue and right-click > then click "Switch to Preview Mode"
      
      
      
   2. To switch back from Preview Mode > Configuration Mode: hover over the top of your report where your column headers are. The blue bar will appear, right-click anywhere on the blue bar and click "Switch to Configuration Mode"
      
      
2. Using the switch button: you can hover over the blue bar in either Preview Mode or Configuration Mode and click on the switch icon (see image below). Sometimes, this icon is hard to locate if you have a lot of columns in your report so using the right-click method, may be easier in those scenarios (as shown in option #1 above).
