• Whenever I edit a filter in BI, the other filters also get updated
• Why are all filters changing when I update one filter in BI reports?

Solution

If you find that filter changes are applying to all of your filters- you likely have cascading turned on for your filters. Whenever you add filters to a report in BI, cascading is automatically enabled. If you do not want filter changes to cascade down and apply to your other filters, follow the steps below to disable cascading:

1. Navigate to your report in BI and click on Edit > Design
2. Make sure you are in configuration mode and not preview mode
3. Right-click on the filter name and click Edit || OR simply click on the filter and click the gear icon
   
   
   
4. Then, in the Filter Properties window, uncheck the box next to Cascading
