Question
- How to import a revision for Claims Workspace estimates?
- When importing a Claims Workspace (fka Claims Connect) estimate, it overwrites original estimate and replaces the estimate with only the changes
- How to get revisions from Claims Estimate (fka Mobile Claims) into DASH
Answer
Claims Estimate (fka Mobile Claims) revised estimates need to be imported in a slightly different way than those that come from other estimate software.
If you try to import your revised estimate as a revision to the original estimate using the Revision option, it will overwrite your entire estimate with only the items that Claims Workspace (fka Claims Connect) detects have changed between the original and the revision.
Instead, you should import the Workspace (fka Claims Connect) revision as another Original Supplemental estimate when importing it into DASH. See image below. This will then only import the added or removed line items without overwriting the Main Estimate and will increase or lower the total estimated cost to match the final revised amount.
NOTE: if you do accidentally overwrite your main estimate, go into Estimate (fka Mobile Claims) and acquire ownership, release ownership, and synchronize. That should sync over both the original estimate as well as the revisions again. Then, within your DASH job, you should import both the revision and original estimate as separate individual estimates.
